What Sensia Does Differently
Sensia's real headline is choice. ReSound builds it in three versions, a rechargeable model and two that run on standard disposable batteries, and each version trades a little of one thing for more of another. That is why we ask how you live before we ask which one you want.
- Rechargeable, up to 30 hours. ReSound rates the rechargeable model at up to 30 hours without streaming, and about 24 hours on a day with several hours of streaming.
- Standard batteries, size 312 or size 13. No charger to remember, and a spare battery in your pocket covers a long weekend away.
- A telecoil on the size 13 model. If you use loop systems at church or in a theater, the size 13 Sensia picks them up.
- Auracast broadcast audio. Sound sent straight to your ears from a venue that has installed it, with no neck loop.
- Two active connections on the rechargeable model. Phone and tablet, or phone and TV streamer, without re-pairing each time.
- CROS support. A rechargeable Sensia CROS transmitter pairs with a Sensia hearing aid if you have usable hearing in only one ear.
- IP68 on every model. Rated against dust and moisture, so sweat and weather are part of ordinary use.
Who ReSound Suits

- Best if you rely on loop systems. The size 13 Sensia carries a telecoil, so a looped church or theater still works for you.

- Best if you attend venues that have installed Auracast. Theaters, airports and lecture halls are adding it steadily.
- Best if you have usable hearing in one ear only. The Sensia CROS transmitter covers the unaidable side.
- A trade-off to know about. The telecoil lives on the size 13 model only, so if you want both a telecoil and a rechargeable battery, we will talk through which matters more to you.
Getting Used to Your ReSound Hearing Aids
Nobody puts hearing aids in and hears perfectly by lunchtime, and being told otherwise sets you up to give up in week two. Your brain has been filling gaps for a long time, so it needs steady input to relearn what everyday sound is like.
- Expect an adjustment period. As Mayo Clinic puts it, you need time to get used to wearing a hearing aid, and the more you wear them the faster that happens.
- Wear them daily, not just for hard situations. Your brain recalibrates on consistent input.
- Come back for the follow-up. The first programming is a starting point, and we expect to adjust it.
- Tell us what sounds wrong, specifically. "My own voice is loud" and "the TV is harsh" are different fixes.
